First and foremost we don't want Teresa to have to worry about the money this operation and treatment is going to cost her and her family. We want Teresa to concentrate on getting better, taking care of herself. So Mary Ann and I have decided to start this blog as a way to help. There are two ways to do that.
Number one is to donate any amount you see fit to a paypal account we have set up for Teresa. The button above will link you to paypal. Any donation is appreciated.
Number Two is during Mother's Day week, Mary Ann and I will be hosting a blog raffle to help raise money for Teresa's medical expenses. We're hoping you can help us with a donation of artwork, a vintage item, a gift certificate to your etsy shop, or even a gift certificate to a retail store like Starbucks or Target. All donations will be divvied up during Mother's Day week and
posted on the blog.
If you choose to this route, we ask three things of you:
1) email us at healingmaggiegrace (at) gmail (dot) com with a picture of your raffle item by April 24th 2) send your raffle item to the winner (winner's address will be emailed to you)
3) spread the word about the raffle and/or donations.
Please spread the word. Link to this blog, post about it, Facebook about it, Tweet about it.
We bloggers know how powerful we are when we come together for a good cause. I can't think of a better one.
love and hugs,
jen and mary ann

ReplyDeleteHere I was racking my brain, wondering what I could do to help, and you girls just DID IT.
Let me get my thoughts together and I'll get back with you about what I can contribute.
Lots of love,
Jennifer
Thank you Jennifer! We are just doing what we can because we love teresa so much!!! We look forward to what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to give a raffle item because I love Teresa! I'll email you with either a gift certificate amount or a specific piece of jewelry - so exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know Teresa but there is an organization that will help her with money if she has been a full time artist for 3 years. CERF or www.craftemergency.org offers grants and no interest loans for emergencies that interfere with the business of making art. There is another that will help with insurance co-pays. www.patientadvocate.org Please forward this info to her and my wishes for a speedy recovery. I am a 5 year survivor myself. Pat McCaffrey
ReplyDeleteThanks Lannae and Pat!
ReplyDeleteI would like to donate a gift certificate for my shop for the raffle. I'll send you an email.
